| I recently picked up a Defi water temp and boost gauge with controller. I'm trying to figure out the best way to install it and I do not want to add more ways for clamps to fail and allow leaks. Does the stock water/coolant temp sensor on the engine outlet pipe run to the ECU? If I remove the stock sensor and replace it with the Defi's to run the new gauge, will the ECU freak out or does it get the temperature reading from elsewhere? Does anyone recommend not removing the stock temp gauge in case the Defi should fail, or vice versa? Is it possible to splice either the new sensor or the stock sensor and run wiring to both the ECU and Defi gauge (assuming the ECU reads from that location)? Thanks for any feedback, I appreciate it.
